Choosing Your Company

[Author Unknown]

How well do I remember

It was late in last September.

I was walking down the street in manly pride

When my heart began to flutter, and I fell into a gutter,

And a pig came up and laid down by my side.

As I lay there in the gutter with my heart still all aflutter,

A lady passing by did chance to say,

“You can tell a man that boozes by the company he chooses.”

And the pig got up and slowly walked away.

    A poem to ponder

Ha-ha! I thought it was quite amusing…somewhat along the lines of Shel Silverstein, except his are aimed for a younger crowd.
