About me

Who, me?

Well, this is me at 16-years-old back in the stone ages of my youth.  A lot has happened to that skinny, shy, thought-I-was-an-ugly-duckling teenager, and all of it has led me to this point in my life where I am feeling very content.

Now, I am a retired mother of two (SonNo1 and SonNo2), grandmother of ten (hereafter referred to as No1, No2, No3, etc.), wanna-be artist, writer, seamstress, quilter, family historian, amateur genealogist, old house fixer-upper, brown-thumb gardener, jewelry-maker…with a huge long bucket-list of things to do and to create and to complete before I’m planted six feet under…hhmmm, wasn’t that a TV show several years back.

I don’t know exactly what you’ll find Undercover here.  I hope to keep it light…you know, “the glass is half full” routine.  So, let’s just see how this plays out.

Hi JSD – I didn’t know what my blog would say when I started blogging several years ago, but over time I could start to see trends. That led to a Page I labelled ‘I Believe’! Of course, that hasn’t limited what I write about, but it has let me focus in on a few topics that I come back to over and over again.

I imagine my topics will be all over the place. Thanks for stopping by.

Nice of you to wander by my remote nick of the woods and like a post of mine JSD – in Afrikaans J pronounced jay, the S – is and D – die (pronounced dee) finish this off with Beste would translate into “You are the Best”!! All these many blogs make me aware of how much wonderful talent and inspiration there is in the world. Awesome!! Looking forward to more visits here.

Oh yes! Tried finding out who you are by clicking on your gravatar, but had no luck. Had to use the email sent to me to get the info. Maybe update your gravatar info??

But what’s there to update? This pretty much says it all. 😉
And I do enjoy your art work!

Hi, can you add your name to this? http://uponatlas.wordpress.com/category/the-name-game/
Basically, write you name onto a blank piece of paper, hold it front of your body, and take a photo of it (body shot only to preserve anonymity), send it to me and I’ll post your name up.

I’m trying to amass different names; and it’ll be amazing to see the different names that people have! I hope you take part in this, it’ll be fun!

Hmmmm, I’ll have to think about this long and hard…my name is very unusual, thus very identifiable. 😦

      • November 30, 2011 12:07 am

as in your first name? Because surnames and middle-names aren’t needed… 😦 that’s okay, if you feel uncomfortable with it then no need to do it. I don’t want anyone to be uncomfortable.

Writer, seamstress, quilter with a big bucket list – ditto, ditto, ditto and ditto. I’m glad I found you this morning. Let me see if I can remember from where or from whom….. I think it was from Prairie Wisdom as she listed her 5 faves after receiving the Liebster Award. Having to take a minute to remember – but being able to remember? Priceless.

Glad you stopped by…and, yes, being able to remember anything is priceless.

I just found your blog this morning! I look forward to enjoying some of your posts as we seem to have alot of similar interests (i.e. passing on of family history, quilting, fixing up old houses)! Can’t wait to “get to know” you on here!

Thanks for stopping by. I must admit, though, that I’ve been a slacker as far as getting out regular posts. I’ll try better. 🙂
